Trex600N landed

Really enjoyed how the Trex600 EP flies, so decided to get the N version too.

The setup includes ..

• Trex600N sport
• TT RL53
• Hatori #523 53NS-3D
• BLS451 (cyclic)
• 611+9256 (from my raptor)

Upgrades..

• Frame brace
• Carbsmart mount (also a frame brace)
• Metal mainshaft bearing block
• Metal seesaw
• Metal maingrip
• New 90 degree duro damper + sleeve

Also gotten the new metal blade grip (will be using on my Trex600EP).

For the older blade grip, the whole thing would have to be replaced in a bad crash because Align decided to make the blade grip & pitch arm as one piece item

Align eliminated the additional elbow on the pitch arm, i hope it would provide for better 'crash replacement'.

The new TT RedLine 53.
It came with high speed needle at 2 1/4 turn.. will be running in with 3 turn though.

I had difficulty fitting the fan & clutch mount onto the engine shaft.. is it supposed to be a rough process? or just snap on fit? Im afraid that the runout will be very bad on mine.

Its quite a present surprise to know that the stock kit now comes with metal front tail pulley, I think its one of the essential upgrade for belt driven version as ive had problem with the plastic version getting its teeth going missing after a while.

One layer of glass tape was pasted onto the tailboom before fitting onto the frame, again because of previous issue of belt losing tension due to shifting boom.

The servo horns that came with servos will not give me parallel linkage to the bell crank.. and so ive gotten the align's futaba servo horns (is this a conspiracy? are there any horns that would give parallel linkage anyway?)

Fan / clutch mount is easy.. but you must use the washer that comes with the Engine.. Otherwise.. Lot's of play..

Ah ok, then maybe abit of inconsistency in the product.
Yep im using the provided washer, already hovered 3 tanks .. vibration level still acceptable.

Just a note, the idle needle of the RL53 was original at 1.25 turn, although no mention of changing it in the manual for initial run, but i found that 1.25 abit lean in my case (running CP30% with TT provided glowplug with no additional head shim)

But i really like the hex driver adjustable idle needle, alot easier than adjusting it on OS

CKS, where did you buy the frame support? Been looking around but no avail.

I just bought Redline and CY ATG.
For the ATG, did you use the magnet provided by Align or ATG?
Align has 2 while ATG comes with 1. I never used gov before so am not sure about the magnets.
Also ATG recommended 20mm for .50 heli, but the align metal fan's holes are further than 20mm by alot, does it matter or did you drill another hole?

HDB, don't bother about the holes.
Remember that you are sensing the number of times the magnet passes the sensor, not the speed at which it passes.

And btw, im flying the rex600n again now.
Don't ask why.
I have plans for it.

Oh, my concern is, the further away, the faster the magnet will pass by. If too far, will it be over the sensitivity of what the sensor is meant for.
