-Cutting the ducting out from the fuse.
-Thats where the ducted fan will be placed
          -100% FSA at the intake
          -80% FSA at the exit
-tedious calculations and measurements are made to ensure the area smoothly decreases through out the whole tube.

-Looking even better! very excited to get the whole plane done asap
-Lazy to make a transparent canopy, so i just cut one out of white foam.

-Glued to the fuse and reinforced the joins to reduce wing flex

Alright, heres the end product! Sprayed with nippon paint silver colour. Yes..nippon paint, those that eat foams up. The reason why it didn't eat into mine because i applied a layer of protection before spraying it. (and that is also why you can see wrinkles all over the plane which is not really nice) Hmm..., not the best mirage2000 out there, but i'll practise further, improving my finishing!

Now..., the fun part, to get this plane up up in the sky! Zoom zoom!.... Will update again when i manage to find time to fly it.

I don't really have time nowadays to do teaching , don't have time for myself to build planes recently or go down to flying field, having my school industrial training program now. I can do online teaching though ^_^. Simple for me. Any questions for me just ask away!

Ok..so to jieZ's question. The layer i put on is something like a tissue paper (no not those found in toilets) , Its those found in artfriend for arts & craft, very much like fibre glassing , but its thin paper and whiteglue instead of epoxy resin and fibreglass. It dosen't add any strength nor weight. Its just a foam protection... see picture and you'll get what i meant.

Anyway, Today was the madien day! went to school to fly and it went up up and away during the first toss!
                      -It wasn't fast at all
                      -very sensitive when fast
                      -stable when slow
                      -Barrel rolls were incredibly quick
-can do high alpha at a very large AOA without stalling
-and it's somewhat satisfying to fly
                      mission accomplished

                            Brilliant work Viper!

Maybe you don't have enough time to finish up your plane, but you should consider spending more time filling up the rough surface and finishing your planes.

To save money you might want to use water soluble emulsion paints like I did for my Tucano

                            Keep building!

                            Cheers!

haha nice today i just maiden my f117 at sp field.
damn nice lar i think u should try to build one.

after watching the 140% ducted fan f117 i decided to build one around the same size but pusher with some modification to the plan i got from rcpower.
